It's been 12 years since Yveltal led his rebels into a fight to overthrow Arceus' reign (what an asshole, am I right?). Is been 5 since Rayquaza finally put an end to the meaningless bloodshed.
The Pokémon world is slowly recovering from the war's aftermath. Tess, a shiny eevee, is one of the many Pokemon who lost their homes and family to the war. Since then, she's been on her own. Except...never completely on her own.
Tess meets Volt the jolteon, and finally things seem to get better. Maybe. Okay, not really.
Volt will do whatever it takes to do what he believes is right. Tess would much rather save her own skin than do what's "morally right". When things get tough, will they have what it takes to overcome even the toughest of trials? Or will they be extinguished in the war that never seems to end?
Rated 13+ because of blood (nothing too graphic), violence, mild language, murder (hoi boi), and a somewhat darker theme.
Legends of Shadows should update at least once a week but sometimes life says otherwise.
Just wait, in a month or two it'll be 'WAY NEWER COVER' :P
Seriously though, great cover! Can't wait for the next one! XD
Okay, okay, I like this cover, but I kinda liked the other one a little more. :3
A LITTLE more.
A teensy eensey little bit more.
A Joltik more.
(okay I'll stop now)
42Meep's Keen eye:
Volt has a bandage on his paw indicating long term damage from the injury he just received (this is understandable given available medical technology), and the triangle on his cheek reminds me of pokemon beta if anyone remembers THAT old thing.
And silvally looks happy this time.
@42Meep: yep, you're right about then bandage. And yeah, in the last cover I accidentally made them all upset. Sam is always happy :D
Also, why is it that I can't do anything without being accused of copying someone?
@Anon: I was just pissed that even though I say not to again and again, people always compare my comic with others. Especially STLE. It bothers me that people accuse me of copying someone else's work when I made this story myself. It just rubs me the wrong way.
Maybe I acted a bit quickly on deleting the comments, and I apologize if that come off as blunt or rude, I wasn't in the mood to deal with comments like that. If the original commenter has a problem with that, they can tell me themselves
It WAS blunt, and it was rude. Because the poor user would be confused about where their comment has gone. Heck, I was confused as well, but I appreciate your reply.
And you can't avoid that when your comic has very noticable similiarities with STLE. I know STLE very well myself and I'm very sad that it got discontinued. But take note that no one else had yelled at you like "OMG THIS USER COPIED STLE"
They just said it was similiar, which is kinda true if you ask me. I can see that STLE had inspired your comic somehow, by reading at your past pages I can already note down the similarities off the top of my head.
Next time, calm down before reacting. And maybe try not to get too defensive on comments like that.
@Anon: you're right. I can't avoid those similarities, and I won't change them. All of those, however, are purely a coincidence. I didn't go through and read STLE and be all like "oh, I like this part, imma gonna insert it in my comic!". As I said, these comments rub me the wrong way.
I've already said those comments aren't appreciated. It's their choice to still post them. My opinion, those comments are purely unnessisary. And some have been on the brink of rude/accusing. Honestly, I believe those are some of the things you should just keep to yourself.
EDIT: I started making the comic before I found SJ. Was I inspired to post it by STLE and some others? Yes. Did they influence the plot? No.
I wouldn't say Cecpedine City, or how you draw the attacks of some pokemon a coincidence though [ Flygon's Earth Power or Volt's Quick Attack does not seem like a coicidence at all. ]. But you do you.
I didn't see you say those comments are not appreciated though. And if you say it is still their choice to post them, then please, don't delete their comments, regardless of whether they are rude or not, if you are allowing said users to post such comments on your pages.
Deal with it. They aren't going to be posting the same comment on every single hecking page of the comic. Even if they do, whats the point? Prove them false by continuing what you do, then they will know that your work is totally original.
Also, if such comments are rude and accusing, them don't be rude back. I've gone back to a comment where one of the users said something similiar, and your answer to the user was just plain hostile, rude and sarcastic. Keep in mind that this is your fan you are talking with here. Try to talk to them nicely, even if they are in the wrong.
@Anon: Whoa, whoa, wait. Cepedine city is based of the word 'césped', which means grass in Spanish. Volt's quick attack thing is my attempt at making it seem like he was moving fast/blurrier. Sahara's earth power? I got the idea from the Earth Benders in Avatar. So yes. Coincidence.
Anyways, what you say makes sense. I guess I'll make it clear next time I update. I'm not really a, um, happy-go-lucky-everything-is-fine kind of person. But I'll try.
@ShadowStalker1128: I'm not saying you're copying. I'm just saying it reminded me of that comic. When I accuse someone of something, I make it clear I'm accusing, but I can see how it could come off that way, sorry shadow.
